Source-backed, not hands-on tested

Sunaofe Trace review: promising low-seat fit, unresolved delivery timing.

Trace combines a 15-inch listed minimum seat height, a backrest that moves forward, and fold-away 4D arms. Those are useful buying signals—not proof of comfort. The bigger issue today is that the same official page says both “InStock” and “In Transit: Ships in 4–12 Weeks.”

Choose it if

A low published seat-height floor, breathable mesh and arms that can fold away from the desk are your primary fit constraints—and you can tolerate pre-sale timing.

Measure first

Compare your knee-to-floor height, thigh length and desk underside—not only your body height—to the listed seat range and 27.1-inch chair width.

Skip it if

You need guaranteed near-term dispatch, independently verified mesh tension, or a chair with complete published seat-depth and arm-height ranges before ordering.

Published dimensions

The 15-inch minimum is the standout number.

It can reduce the need for a footrest for some shorter users, but it cannot answer whether the seat edge clears the back of your knees or whether the lumbar panel meets your back in the right place.

Mechanism check

“Auto-follow” is useful only if the resistance and contact point suit you.

Up to 6 inches forward

Sunaofe says a cable-controlled lever lets the backrest glide forward and lock anywhere. That is travel, not a comfort score.

Three-stage lumbar

The lower-lumbar piece flips among three positions. The brand does not publish the pressure curve or exact vertical contact range.

Fold-away 4D arms

The arm pads move in four directions and stow away, but no folded-arm height is published. Measure the desk opening before relying on under-desk clearance.

Biggest buying risk

Treat Trace as a pre-sale, even though one data field says InStock.

The visible purchase panel says “In Transit: Ships in 4–12 Weeks,” the specification area says “Pre-sale—in production,” and the deposit option says rolling restocks. That is stronger planning evidence than the embedded InStock schema. Ask Sunaofe for a written dispatch estimate for your color before placing either a deposit or full payment.

The page also advertises a 60-day trial, free returns and a five-year warranty. Read the linked policies and preserve the original packaging; banner copy alone is not the complete return contract.

Before checkout

Run these five checks.

  1. 1Measure popliteal height in your work shoes and compare it with the 15.0–18.9-inch seat range.
  2. 2Measure thigh length; request the actual usable seat depth because the text specification does not publish it.
  3. 3Measure desk underside height and width; request folded-arm height before assuming the chair tucks under.
  4. 4Confirm Grey or Cream dispatch timing in writing and decide whether a 4–12-week window works.
  5. 5Confirm the final cart total, delivery promise and return terms before paying.

Trace review FAQ

Did WorkChoose test the Sunaofe Trace chair?

No. This review is a manufacturer-source-backed fit and purchase-risk analysis. WorkChoose has not sat in, assembled or durability-tested the Trace, so comfort, noise, mesh tension and long-term reliability remain unverified.

How low does the Sunaofe Trace seat go?

Sunaofe currently publishes a 15.0-inch minimum and 18.9-inch maximum seat height. That unusually low listed minimum can be useful for shorter users, but seat height alone does not prove that seat depth, lumbar position or arm height will fit.

Is the Sunaofe Trace in stock?

The official page currently conflicts: its structured product data reports InStock, while the visible purchase panel says In Transit: Ships in 4–12 Weeks and its specification section says pre-sale. Treat the longer visible estimate as the safer planning assumption and confirm a dispatch date before paying.

Does the Sunaofe Trace page show promotions?

The official Trace page can show changing promotions. WorkChoose does not publish a code until it appears in the approved Awin offer feed or is authorized in writing. Verify the final total in the cart before paying.

Does WorkChoose earn money from the Trace link?

Yes. Eligible Trace links use WorkChoose's approved Awin relationship with Sunaofe. The current programme rate visible to WorkChoose is 16%, but rates and transaction approval can change; the recommendation is based on fit evidence and purchase risk, not commission.
